Tricking. Treating. Traveling.

It's been a while. I know. No excuses that you haven't already heard. Totally without the luxury of internet access at home. So posts are scarce on "The Chancellor's...Life is Good."

We've actually been really busy lately. We took Braiden to Boo at the Zoo, basically for the purposes of "not-feeling-bad-that-we-spent-money-on-a-costume" because we were going to be in Fayetteville on Oct 31st. He picked out his very own costume this year. He honestly wanted to be Elmo, but they didn't have one in his size. I wanted him to be a little mouse, but he wanted the puppy outfit. We got it at Target...I love Target.

We chose the coldest night of the season so far, October 28th, to take him to Boo at the Zoo! Luckily for him, his costume was practically a stuffed animal! He stayed toasty in his stroller.

On Friday, the day of Halloween, he was asked to dress up in his costume for school - that's a BIG NEGATIVE. They can't keep up with the diapers I send each day, so there's no way I'm sending his one and only costume to be mutilated with colorful, sticky cupcake debris and then to be sent home with one of his classmates. So he wore a Halloween t-shirt and jeans. Upon dropping him off that morning, I noticed many of the other moms had the same feeling toward the day's predictable events as Braiden's mom did.

As you'll notice from the pictures below, I dressed up for Halloween this year, too!! I was BLOND! I loved it! It was SUCH fun and the attorneys appreciated the extra effort - I had on LOTS of makeup, false eyelashes with glitter on them, a blond wig, a pink glittery cowgirl hat, a black suit, fishnet stockings and a camisole from one of my sassy pj sets! That's right. I have sassy pj's. It was a blast, but I was so ready to soak my face in Noxzema and wash my nasty hair that night!

We went straight to my friend Jennifer's house (a few blocks down from us) as soon as I got off work for some trick or treating and to take a peek at her new house. You wouldn't believe the work she and her husband have put into that thing! It looks great!!!

From Jennifer's house, we went to Tyson & Sally's in Springdale. Trick or Treating once again. Then we were off to the Hotel...Braiden's first overnight stay at a Hotel, so there are lots of random pictures!! The poor baby had some sort of reaction (I'm thinking from all the dogs we encountered at Jennifer's and Tyson's), so Brian was out at a 24 hour Walgreen's searching for medicine. At 1:30 Saturday morning, we all finally passed out in the bed.

[Hotel pictures will be in a separate post...Blogger is SERIOUSLY slow!]

On Saturday, we went to the Mall in Fayetteville to meet up with Dana, my best friend, who lives in Siloam Springs. Brian headed off to the Razorback game with Tyson. Dana, her youngest son Seth, Braiden and myself hopped in Dana's car and drove to Rogers to Pinnacle Hills Promenade to look for something to wear to the wedding this coming weekend in Bella Vista. I'm very impressed with this shopping center. I found the most amazing dress at White House Black Market. I'm in love with it. To convince myself to buy it, I made a personal promise to wear it to the wedding, to our Christmas Eve service at Church, on any upcoming interviews I may get, and I may even be burried in it. But, it's amazing...have I mentioned that?

Then on Saturday night as we drove thru Russellville, we stopped at my Aunt Teresa's house and had an awesome visit with her & Brenttany. To my surprise, my Aunt Tammy, Uncle Tommy and my grandmother were there, too!!! [pictures for this will be in a separate post...I'm running out of time!]

Halloween.

In our yard before Boo at the Zoo.

Waiting in line at the Zoo.

My very good friend, Molly. She & her husband ran one of the consession stands.

A family picture taken by some random old guy who wanted honorary grandchildren for the night! He was so nice!

CARNIVAL RIDES!!!! He looked like such a big boy on those little bugs! We had to ride them twice that night. He wasn't scared at all.

All of his loot poored out onto the kitchen table.
