Two O'clock in the afternoon, Wednesday, May 14th, 2008 - Brian, Braiden & I, together with my folks and my brother, Jeremy, are headed to Branson, MO! I hope to have lots of great pictures to post (although none as beautiful as those Maury posted of her trip to Orange Beach! ...I'm still so jealous!). We're planning to stay at The Cabins at Thousand Hills Golf Resort. We stayed there 2 years ago and it was so wonderful! I totally recommend it, if you're planning a trip to that area. Other plans (though tentative...it's supposed to rain! Blah.) include a day long trip to Silver Dollar City, a music show at The Baldnobbers Jamboree, and dinner at some cool places - I mean, come on...eating out is all part of the vacation experience!! We'll also take in some shopping, although I'm not much of an outlet shopper. And not at all because I have more money than I know what to do with, either! They are just always in such a disarray and it's always hot in the stores, and the employees are of no help. The male members of my family are expecting a trek up to Springfield to visit the Bass Pro Shop. It'll be fun! I am really ready to see how Braiden reacts to a trip longer than 2 hours at a time!! He travels really well...2 hours at a time! I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend!

Oh, you are so sweet! Branson had been our other choice, and when we were dealing with all those teens on our vacation...we were wishing we were in Branson...I bet they don't hang out up there much!
I want to hear more about this cabin. When we went to Branson at X-mas, we loved it, and were excited that it was so much quicker to get there now that we live here. I am REALLY wanting to go see that new Noah'a ark show!
I KNOW! The Noah's Ark show is opening this weekend (I think), but that was the request I had for a show...we were just too early! That theatre for Noah's Ark is HUGE!!!!!!!
The cabins were so wonderful. We stayed there 2 years ago and wanted to try them out again!! I'll post some pictures. My parents are actually thinking about buying one!!! They are individually owned...not exactly like a timeshare.
And, the teens...well, teens not so much, but tweens!!! WOW!!! They were EVERYWHERE! There was bus after bus after bus up there. Lots of which were from Flippen and Harrison and I think Carlisle. It was like they all decided for the last week of school, they would have a field trip to Silver Dollar City!!! But, the malls had like maybe 100 shoppers combined in them!!! That part was fabulous!!! Tons of sales, but none of the crowd!!
