My Poor Car!

That's right. I was in an accident. Last Thursday, 5/1, I was on my way home from my first job (yes, I have two jobs - other than being a mom & wife) to pick up Braiden. I was traveling North on Maumelle Blvd, and stopped at the red light at Country Club Blvd. The Tahoe behind me apparently thought I was going to run the light...or maybe hit the button that deploys my Batmobile wings to avoid her or something! BUT, to my advantage, there was a Maumelle Patrol Officer just behind the Tahoe!! HA! Couldn't believe it! The entire event took about 15-20 minutes. I can still drive my car, although not a good idea in the rain, as my trunk is wrinkled up to the back glass.

I have to meet with the Tahoe's Allstate adjuster today at 4:00. Did you read that? I have to meet them...at their office...at a time that was good for them. And they only had 2 appointments left for this week, or I'd have to wait until next week. That's crazy! I will NOT have Allstate as my insurance carrier. In Good Hands. Whatever. You're in good hands if you agree to completely disregard your own schedule and the fact that you're trying to maintain your life (with 2 jobs and a baby) while your transportation is in a pickle. Yeah. I'm not real happy right now.

It was crumpled all the way up the quarter panel
Poor trunk. There's not even any "red light" left on my tail light. It must be on the Blvd somewhere.

Don't you hate when all that happens and you think after the fact that you should have fell out on the ground flailing around screaming b/c things were only going to get worse so you should just milk it for all it's worse.

Trust me...I work for 5 different attorneys at two different law firms right now, so I've been advised on TONS of stuff! They are constantly asking me, "How's your neck? How's your back? Do you have a headache?" :oP

I am so glad you are ok though! How sad about your car, and the piece that is gone - how sad! I got rear ended when I was pregnant with Gage and it was no fun. I must add though, in defense of Allstate, that is who we have and we love them, so maybe it varies office to office. They were super nice to me when I got in my accident and have always given us really good rates on all the things we have. Who knows..Wade has been with them for 16 years so maybe that helps.

again -glad you are ok and I hope they get it fixed fast for you!

Glad you are okay...too bad for your car...but at least it is metal and can be fixed... How super handy for a cop to be right there when needed- how often does that actually happen?
