Proud.

I'm proud. As proud as one wife can be. Brian just sent me a text. His boss called with the news that he is in the top 150 of the greatest Sharp technicians in the Nation! That's right, people...NATION!

A couple of months ago, he took a few online tests to certify himself as a Sharp Master Tech. Passed with flying colors. Concluding that he was as sharp as 600 Sharp technicians nationwide. (did you get that?! "sharp" on Sharp?!)

He was invited to take the second round of tests a couple of weeks ago in Memphis, TN. The result: He's one of the top 150 Sharp Technicians in the great U. S. of A! He's achieved "SUPERIOR STATUS"! And, get this...he's never been trained on one. No classes. Just good. That's what he is. Good. OK, he's great! In fact, to quote a support specialist from Sharp Electronics, "This is considered a major accomplishment ... and Brian competed with many technicians that have done nothing but Sharp all their lives."

WOW! I know!!!!!

I'm sure there are prizes involved with this. And, I'm pretty sure he's already told me what they would be. But, I'm even more certain that I'll get it confused with something else he's told me, so I won't post about the loot just yet. I'll wait until I get home and give him a big hug. ...then I'll tell him I forgot what he said. This is not alarming news, you see. He will not be surprised by this at all. He comes to expect forgetfulness from me. As if weight gain and sleep deprivation aren't enough from bringing life into this world.

So, this is just a rambling little post to express how proud I am of my other half. Congratulations, Brian. I'm so very proud of you!! Now.....what'd we win??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!

UPDATE:

He won a Blue-Ray Disc Player!! YAY!!! Now, all we need is an HDTV, Cable or Satelite, and a few Blue-Ray Discs at $30+ each. Hmmmm....I'm thinking this thing is going on Ebay.
