The Waffle House

This is a quick little post to prove that we're still alive and well...

We took Braiden on his first trip to the Waffle House in Maumelle this past Saturday night. He actually enjoyed it. More than his momma did! Everything in there is so dirty - in any one of them I've ever been inside. The highchair was filthy, the floors were nasty, the table was dirty, the menus were sticky - you get the picture. Quite honestly, I probably would've only noticed the table being messy and the menus being sticky if it weren't for my current job duties as "mom to a one year old".

The floor becomes an issue around 6 months old - sitting in a highchair and dropping toys left and right. This is a game, you see. The more he drops, the more we bend down and pick it up for him...the more we grunt...the more he smiles......all the more reason to do it again!

Our waitress was super nice...she made it very clear she was still a teenager. Not real sure why she did. She gave him a paper WH Hat to sport during dinner and two spoons to play drums with as we awaited our meal. (here's where the floor became the enemy) He had a Mickey Mouse shaped waffle. I wish I had snapped a picture of that! The picture below was taken with Brian's phone.
