My child is currently being entertained by my parents; at least for the next few days. Brian has the flu...and I met it's cousin last night around 6:00. We decided Monday that I would drive Braiden down (2 hours) to my Mom's house in New Edinburg to stay for a day or two while Brian gets well and we sanitize the house. This stinks. Of course, he's having a blast with his Mammaw and Pappaw, and Uncle J. But, it took me 4 tries to leave their house Monday night. FOUR. I finally got home around 10:30 or 11:00 and Brian was still up and still sick. So, I stayed up with him and brought him medicine and Pop-Ice sticks and drinks. And I ran the hairdryer underneath the sheets so he'd be warm. I sprayed everything down with Lysol (which is a habit of mine anyway...sick or not). Went to work yesterday thinking I was going to pick Braiden up last night. Then when I got home, I started feeling puny. So, he's still there.
This is the longest I've ever been away from him. EVER. I'm sad. But, he's happy...Mother said he hasn't even whimpered. He's also getting pancakes for breakfast and ice cream for a snack. He'll weigh 27 lbs when I finally get to see him! I have decided this can't happen again until he's at least 12 years old. I think 12 is a good number. I just ache to see him and get a few smooches. He's my monkey. I miss him terribly.

I would miss him too! He is such a cutie and I hope you guys all feel better soon! crazy and at least he isn't getting it. I love his pictures that Maury posted, he is such a cute boy!

I know you miss him, but I believe that spending that quality time with grandparents is so healthy for them!...Iam glad that you can take him down there so he can't get it! And....I am very sorry you guys are sick...and I hope you get better soon.....and I am glad Brian stayed home Sunday! (sorry, I just had to add that last part!)

Hope you guys are all staying well! I know you missed him...that falls under doing what is best for your baby rather you want to or not!! That would stink to me more than the bad birthday. The most I have been away from mine is two nights...I can't imagine 4 days!!! Stay well!!
Dena, when I emailed you I had just read this blog....then I realized it was a little older! Guess that's what I get for being up after 1 am!
