He's so proud of it.  We also have flowers for our teacher, but for some reason, I can't upload those pictures.  I'll try again tomorrow.  I am SO ready to close my eyes!  Happy Valentine's Day!!

Braiden & I were playing around one evening while Brian was pumping our gas.
I get to look at this messy little boy everyday. How lucky am I?

Revamped

So, guess what? WE HAVE INTERNET @ HOME!

I know. I feel the same way. This is a momentous occasion.

I've made an attempt at revamping this blog. I've rewritten my profile and have removed a lot of the "junk" that I've just left on here for lack of removal time. Please comment if something doesn't flow across the screen correctly or if anything is "un"easy on the eyes. I probably changed fonts and colors 37 times, so for all I know, the page could look like a hot mess.

I've kept up with each of you this entire time. I've tried to leave comments sporadically and was denied by Blogger for one reason or another. I do apologize...please know that I've tried!

I have so much catching up to do!! Thanks for keeping me on your blog lists all this time. I'll sign off with a couple of pictures from the incredible snow storm we've had. My goodness, the 60 degree temperatures today have never looked better!

Your Bed

We removed your baby bed. You know, the custom ordered, youngAmerica, solid wood crib that you slept in only a handful of nights? Yeah, that's the one. It's been broken down and sent to it's new resting place. Leaning against an interior wall of our spare bedroom. I got a little teary eyed, watching Daddy wield his trusty screwdriver and mutter a few potty words as he took down the last remaining structure of your "baby room".

You're a big boy now. 3 1/2 years old and so full of life. You're so bossy and determined. You have your own way of doing things; and that way is the best way; the only way. You're also adamant about your feelings toward your new bed. It's NOT for sleeping in. You've taken 3 naps in it so far...only because you fell asleep and I carried you in and laid you down. You cry incessantly when we put you to bed in it at night. Even though you are armed with 3 flashlights, a barrage of stuffed animals and your closet light is burning bright, you're afraid we're going to leave you.

So, back into our bed you go. And your little size 10's are in my face. Because your momma can't stand the thought of you feeling left alone. I keep telling myself that you won't be 14 years old and sleeping in our bed, so right now is fine. It's not going to last forever. It still pulls at my heartstrings when I watch you sleep. You're perfect little face and chubby little toes still have a smidgen of "baby" left in them. And, I want to hold on to that. It's not going to last forever.

Anybody Out There?

Does anyone out there still read this blog? I realize that historically, I post about twice a year, but I'd like to get back into the swing of things if there is anyone still clicking over to The Chancellor's.

Please comment. If there is still anyone out there that would read it if I posted it, I'll try to be a regular!
